She won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2009 and was a MacArthur \u201cgenius\u201d Fellow and president of the American Political Science Association.\u00a0For me, she was a major inspiration, and I find that I have mentioned or discussed her in 142 blog posts over the years. I also summarize her work in chapter 3 of <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.tufts.edu\/civicstudies\/publicationsproducts\/\">What Should We Do? A Theory of Civic Life<\/a> (2022). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have now recorded two videos to introduce all of her major ideas, as I see them. I discuss her basic principles in\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.loom.com\/share\/7d050541040f4fb28d2de4e53864fa76\" target=\"_blank\">Part I (17 minutes)<\/a>\u00a0and how to apply her ideas in\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.loom.com\/share\/33e942f6d4ba4ce3a4bd6a035a6101ea\" target=\"_blank\">Part II (11 minutes)<\/a>.
