The authors are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.generationcitizen.org\/\">Generation Citizen<\/a> plus a committee from other groups, including my CIRCLE colleagues and me. I&#8217;m pleased to have been part of the discussions that generated this\u00a0paper. It is distinctive in that it puts political engagement at the center of civic education and addresses both schools and out-of-school opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Generation Citizens&#8217; executive director, Scott Warren, also has a <a href=\"http:\/\/hechingerreport.org\/student-protests-reveal-thirst-for-a-dialogue-on-democratic-process\/\">piece<\/a>\u00a0entitled &#8220;Student protests reveal thirst for a dialogue on democratic process&#8221;\u00a0in the Hechinger Report.
