Most of this reporting uses data and visualization tools that we have collected in one place,\u00a0our &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.civicyouth.org\/quick-facts\/2014election\/\">Election Center<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t think the signs are good for national youth turnout in November, but one of the reasons we never\u00a0see reasonable\u00a0turnout in midterm years is that most places don&#8217;t have\u00a0competitive elections. For instance, 16 states don&#8217;t have a Senate race at all this year, and virtually all House contests\u00a0are foreordained.
