At this moment, the National Exit Polls are reporting that youth represented 19% of the electorate. That is a promising sign. The youth share of the vote is up a point compared to 18%, and it&#8217;s not a bad showing by any standard, since 18-29s represent 21% of the adult population, so they are punching at close to their weight. However, share does not equal turnout, as our handy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.civicyouth.org\/how-to-understand-youth-voting-data\/\">graphic reveals<\/a>.
